Lorraine issues the Cordovans a shocking ultimatum: accept virtual occupation within 24 hours or France will declare war.

Genevieve has secured Julien an invitation to a party at Lorraine’s Paris estate. There he meets Isabelle, the Duke’s promiscuous daughter, for the first time. Isabelle takes an instant liking to Julien, much to Genevieve’s irritation. Julien discovers Genevieve has been learning how to practice sorcery.

At the party, word comes that Cordova has missed the deadline for the ultimatum. France is at war! Lorraine has been choosen to command France’s armed forces.
